Women Entrepreneurs Programme at the Thematic Business University Forum in Vienna

The 2016 Vienna Thematic Forum that took place on the 25th and 26th of February, focused on university-business cooperation from the perspective of fostering innovation through collaborative effort and joint activities. The event was a joint effort of the European Commission, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy.

During this event, project members Andria Iapona (3s – Secondment from CUT) and Janine Wulz (3s) had the opportunity through networking sessions to hand over project flyers and inform other participants about the project and its aims.  Participants were very interested to learn about ‘’Women Entrepreneurs Programme’’ and how it will contribute to social and economic development by increasing the number of female entrepreneurs and their performance potential.

Women Entrepreneurs secondment arrived in Austria

Andria Iapona arrived in Vienna last week and started working on the project.  She will stay at 3s Unternehmensberatung for 2 months (mid January to mid March). During her secondment in Vienna, Andria will be working on the Competency Matrix and will be involved in dissemination activities.

Andria is a University Officer (Human Resources) at the Research and International Relations Services at the Cyprus University of Technology.

New style of the Women Entrepreneurship project website

Today the website of the Women Entrepreneurship project was relaunced in a new style. The new style includes a logo, created by the project team members. At the website, you will find more information on the project itself, including reports and scientific articles.

Women Entrepreneurs project team arrived in Germany

The project team arrived in Jena during the last weeks and is working together to discuss women entrepreneurship.

Women Entrepreneurs Kick-off Meeting Santiago de Chile

The Kick-off Meeting of the project and the subsequent Summer School took place from 23 until 29 March 2015 in Santiago de Chile.

The objective of the project is to set up and strengthen international and inter-sectoral collaboration in the research field of competence development of young women entrepreneurs and to promote women’s entrepreneurial potential in Europe.

The scientific goal is to get a better understanding of the fundamental entrepreneurial competences in Germany and Ireland and to develop an educational programme to close competence gaps in order to enhance the ratio of successful women entrepreneurs across Europe.

The project is coordinated by the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena (Germany). Partners of the project are the Universidad de Desarollo in Santiago (Chile), the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla (Colombia), the Fundación Imaginario Comuicación para la Paz y el Cambio Social in Bogotá (Colombia), 3s Unternehmensberatung GmbH (Austria) and the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol (Cyprus).
